Is your dock not working the way you expect it to? Here are a few things to try before submitting a ticket!


Troubleshoot the docking station

  • Your dock may not be powered on 
    • Regardless of the model of dock you have, there is a power indicator light either on the top or front-facing side of the dock. A white or orange light indicates your dock has power.
    • If there is no light, ensure the power cable is plugged into an outlet and into the back of the dock itself.





  • The dock might need to be reset
    • Try unplugging the power cable from the back of the dock, wait 10 seconds, and then plug it back in.


  • The drivers may have loaded incorrectly
    • Try restarting the computer, this will re-load the drivers


  • The display cables may have come loose
    • Ensure that the cables are correctly inserted in the back of the monitors and in the back of the docking station





If all of that fails, it could be a more complex issue. At that point, go ahead and submit a ticket to ITSupport@kbgrp.com and we'll get it working.
